
Mara Braverman
Previously, as Director of Communications at Miss Porter’s School for eight years, Mara oversaw website development. She also created admission materials that contributed to a 20 percent increase in applications and fundraising materials that helped raise millions in capital contributions.
Prior to that, Mara wrote extensively about the work of physicians and scientific researchers at the University of Connecticut Health Center. She has also served as an editor, journalist and curriculum developer.
Her work has been recognized by the State Bar of California, the Admissions Advertising Awards, the Public Relations Society of America and the Connecticut Art Directors Club.
Mara received a J.D. and an M.P.A. from the University of Southern California and a B.A. from New York University.
She serves on the Executive Leadership Committee of the Regional Independent School Communicators Group. Previously, she was a trustee of the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools, treasurer of Connecticut IABC and member of the West Hartford, Conn., Public Schools Strategic Planning and High School Planning committees.
